No. The SU-24 is Russian aircraft which was shot down by Turkish F-16's using AIM-9 sidewinder. Apparently, the AIM-9 was out of range but scored a successful hit anyway. But my question was regarding the SU-24 not using chaff and flares to decoy the AIM-9 off target. ????

The Russian rescue helicopter was destroyed with TOW anti-tank weapons, ALSO supplied by U.S. AFTER IT HAD LANDED TO SEEK OUT DOWNED PILOTS OF THE SU-24. Were the pilots of the helicopter aboard THE HELICOPTER when it was destroyed??? Another question!
