The dweebs in the Democrat Party weren’t too worried about ‘targeting’ when conservative citizens were unfairly targeted because they hated us. They laughed when they heard the IRS was going after us... but they love the radical Muslim killers...

There are plenty of different factions in Syria. Not all of those in the majority Sunni community who opposed Assad sympathize with a religiously-motivated jihad against him. I'm not sure how that should affect our refugee policy, but you should get up to speed on the various factions.

There is no “refugee policy”. The Muslims from Syria ARE NOT refugees. They are Jihadists.
The many factions are Jihadists. There are some who claim to be “moderate secularists” when they want American arms and funds but soon after they become radical Jihadists again.
Muslim “refugees” in Europe regularly kill and oppress Christians whenever they get the chance.
Between what you think you know, and what the reported facts are, I'm going to go with the facts.
I'm not saying we should let them into the US (we shouldn't) or that they're a very strong force in region, but we should at least try to find out what's actually going on over there, rather than just rely on what we think we already know.
The Obama administration claimed the Muslims that they funded and armed had been vetted and were “secular moderates”.
After the received US money and arms they suddenly reverted to being radical jihadists.
There are example after example of Obama claiming that the people he gave money to were our allies. After they received money and arms they predictably turned on us.
The Obama administration created ISIS and their allies. They pulled out of Iraq. They funded terrorists. They refused to use US air power to bomb and destroy ISIS strongholds.
It is not that complicated.

The battle lines have been drawn but it seems our elected reps want no part of any fight. Therefore, thanks to the feckless cowards in the GOPe we are very likely to lose everything in the long run.
