For over half a century, American universities, with few exceptions, have ceased teaching and begun indoctrinating. In the past few weeks, this downhill spiral has accelerated. The university is now a caricature of an educational institution. It is difficult to come up with an idea or policy that is more absurd than the ideas and policies that now dominate American campuses.

It is time to fire the liberals running the Universities and if necessary defund them.
Things are turning around in at least ONE big university that I know of.
But what about the need to create safe spaces???? Are these liberals just full of hot air?????

Yes, the only way to fix the high level schools is to defund them and disallow union control and extortion. Make them EARN their money and have accountability. The results would be amazing.

I was all set to become a big time writer of satirical reviews but my first subject was American universities. I give up, it’s like trying to draw a warthog that is uglier than the real thing.

I am incensed at one of Obama’s sons burning alive a 91 year old vet in Detroit. Why? Probably because he was white.
Other than in professional courses...ie:Law, medicine, accounting etc....Liberal arts courses are TOTALLY worthless and they cost 20-60 thousand dollars per years. Colleges can be a lot of fun and usually are, but their value is depreciating at an alarming pace.
The whole system needs to be demolished....the invasion started in the 30s with the Cultural Marxists-—led by the most vile, evil minds on earth.
The whole “system” with the psychiatry of Wundt-—and the Pavlovian/Skinner Neo-Freudian lens warping ALL history and ALL literature and ALL art-—to collapse civil society has been subverting minds since the 50s or before. INTENTIONALLY-—and sexualization of little children by the sodomites in Hollywood and the elites in government......to destroy Virtue formation-—the ONLY purpose of Western curricula was to instill Virtue which is necessary for Free Republics-—until that evil Humanist, John Dewey.
Done right, a liberal education teaches a young person to think for himself.
THE LIBERAL ARTS
Based on the types of studies that were pursued in the Classical world, the Seven Liberal Arts became codified in late antiquity by such writers as Varro and Martianus Capella. In medieval times, the Seven Liberal Arts offered a canonical way of depicting the realms of higher learning.
The Liberal Arts were divided into the Trivium (”the three roads”) and the Quadrivium (”the four roads”).
The Trivium consisted of:
Grammar
Rhetoric
Logic
The Quadrivium consisted of:
Arithmetic — Number in itself
Geometry — Number in space
Music, Harmonics, or Tuning Theory — Number in time
Astronomy or Cosmology — Number in space and time
The irony is that “liberals” have come to dominate academia and enforce an ideological rigidity that prevents students from learning how to think for themselves; to the contrary, they learn to swallow anything and then regurgitate it upon command in order to please their masters.
If you know what’s good for you, you write down what you think your professor wants to read.
In a sense, modern American higher education teaches the art of `doublethink’ so that Orwell’s nightmare dystopia has become reality: “This is not want I really thing but it will get me a good grade.”
We’re seeing it brought to fruition with current attempts by the left to punish “hate speech” by students, to punish white students for the accident of their birth and with the birth of lunacy such as “microaggression” and current attempts by Democrats to make “climate change” equivalent in importance to (the nuisance of) religious maniacs mowing down their fellow mammals with machine guns.

They have a new chancellor who has come out and said he’s a committed Christian.
And he’s acting like one.
There has been a group of people who have been faithfully praying for SU to turn around for YEARS.
There is a strong community of different faith groups like BASIC, Cru, Baptist Campus Ministries, etc who are working together.
The Fellowship of Christian Athletes is a very strong chapter led by a very Godly man and he has had tremendous outreach in their athletic program.
And many local churches are involved in ministry there.
There are good things happening on campus.
