You can pretty much write the script for when that's going to come up again in Trump's speech...
"So we have a guy, born in Canada...he thinks he can be President. Can you believe this? He's from Canada. Says he's a 'constitutional scholar' but he's from Canada and wants to be President. I don't think so. I don't think so."
"He thinks he's tough, oh, so tough. President of the debate league. He's been in Washington for years but still has no friends...kind of sad if you think about it. Not very popular but wants to be elected President. Some say he's...I shouldn't say this...but, well, he's kind of a nerd! I didn't say it! Running for President but not popular. It's not going to work, folks. It doesn't work that way."
"He's an outsider, supposedly, an 'outsider.' Worked in government for his whole life and he's an OUTsider. I don't get it. But he's so tough. The captain of the debate team...taking on ISIS...and CHI-na. Never created a job in his life and no one likes him. C'mon, folks. Is this a joke? Do they think we're stupid? They think we're stupid."
Cruz has all sorts of ugly problems that can be brought up, and his running as the "true," "pure," "consistent conservative" will not look good when placed under real scrutiny.
His father is a grifter and a Dominionist. His wife is a Goldman Sachs executive who endorsed the CFR's North American Union proposals. He himself has donors ranging from the Club for Growth on down to Goldman Sachs. Finally, Cruz even sat there and voted against amendments that would have made TPA better, but now campaigns on "voting against it" even after he brought it to the floor. Cruz is also, and provably, a liar when discussing his immigration position. His team is calling Marco Rubio a liar because Marco points out that he has supported legalization and expansion of H1-B Visas, stuff he supported even after the Gang of Eight fight was over. All of this absolutely true.
The retard Cruzers are going to reply in one of two ways to this information: "It's all lies!" or "Trump is worse!" But normal people are going to remember that Ted Cruz is running on a "true""consistent" conservative platform.
Cruz is vulnerable. That is why the NRO, Red State, all these establishment scumbags are willing to promote him as the next not-Trump.
Cruz's problems nullify his superiority over Rubio and Bush, because his positions are provably ungenuine.
