What it means is that when Donald Trump says specifically that he saw video of people celebrating in New Jersey, he was specifically mistaken.
Does getting confused like that matter for a president? We’ll know next November.
It does not mean there was no cheering, it does not mean your brother in law was lying about the reports he was hearing second-hand, it just means that there is no evidence for any of it that can prove it.

Just what kind of research did they do at nyt besides drink, dope, and fart before putting out an outright cow patty of an “article”?
I recall the newsies showing specifically people in NJ hopping up and down joyfully.
At issue is that the article linked says that it didn’t happen, period.
The claim now is that the muzzies did not in any way celebrate.
They did not verify actual cheering in NJ by thousands ... the Post verified that police were called because of reports of people on roof tops cheering. The police were never able to find the people who supposedly were cheering.
I do remember news reports showing people in Gaza celebrating. It was horrible. So many of the people in the mid East hate us and hate all of western civilization.
Re Trumps saying he say thousands of Muslims in NJ cheering ... I do believe this is probably ‘fog of war’ memories. Everything was so unbelievably tense and scary back then for people all over the country. But I would imagine even more so for people in the tri state area.
FTLOG ... I was freaked out the first time I heard a small airplane noise for weeks after the fact.

I caught the "allegedly" word also. I was pretty much glued to the TV during those days and remember seeing Muslims in the middle east celebrating but not in New Jersey. I think all news people plus the attorney general of New Jersey and the governor and mayor would remember "thousands" in New Jersey if it happened. However, read this next paragraph:
Trump exaggerates all the time and he could have read, instead of seen, a report of some Muslims celebrating in New Jersey and now he has upped the count to thousands. I see a quote on this thread from a newspaper and it's about some Muslims in New Jersey celebrating. Perhaps he read that and now that number is "thousands" and he is saying he "saw it". Also, Trump is 69 and may have memory problems which would not be unusual for someone that age.
A few days ago, he sent out a chart that was wrong in some way and it was pointed out to him the chart was wrong and Trump said he just re-tweeted a chart sent to him (he didn't check it for accuracy before he sent it). He will never take responsibility for any error or mistake made or words misspoken. One cannot trust his words to be true which is fine if he is wheeling and dealing about real estate (buyer beware), but a president needs to be able to be sure he has his facts correct, plus taste his words for their effect before saying them so the public has trust in his words.

I remember too.
We have to remember that there were videos of the debate for senator of Illinois where Barack Obama and Alan Keyes were sitting behind a table or desk. Alan says Obama wasn’t even born here, and Obama responds, we are talking about the Senate, not the presidency. I saw that clip right here on FR. IT IS SCRUBBED. GONE. Obama doesn’t agree he was born elsewhere; he just refers to what office they’re running for. But that is proof that “someone” scrubs the Internet for the benefit of certain people.
I was watching CNBC Squawk Box as I did every morning back then. (It started at 4:30 AM in Los Angeles. They showed American Muzzies cheering in a number of cities.

- The Washington Post REPORTED the story about American Muslims in New Jersey dancing on the rooftops while the trade towers were coming down - - at the time. The New York Times sucks.
That has always been the case about pandering to the dumbest.
That is no different than the times of the revolutionary war. I bet they were a lot dumber then.
What is important is that information is readily available now and there are far more people aware of what is happening. It is like living in a small town with the web.
The media has been neutralized and people can reason things out for themselves. I still think the internet is a great force for good and one of the most positive developments we have ever had.
The establishment parties and the media are so obviously in it for themselves and not for the benefit of their constituencies that it is no longer theory and opinion. It is obvious. Without the web we would not see this.
Limbaugh has said many many times that the MSM is the only business where they think the customer (reader) is always wrong. The same holds with the parties. They assume the voter is always wrong. So they want to tell us this and decide for us and of course at every step they take their cut off the top.
The hate and viciousness towards Trump has to do with the fact that if he gets near the levers of power he will prevent them from taking their cut off the top. It is all about money and goodies and has nothing to do with serving constituencies.
As I said, the big positive now is that we know it which makes us act differently. Look at Trump. He now has 5 million followers on twitter and any time he wants us to know something he sends out a message and within seconds 5 million get it. We then retweet and retweet and the message goes out to potentially 15 million. This kind of power is very very positive and cumulatively will straighten things out for the better.
It could have been easily mistake for parts of Jersey in the fog of war at the time.
Anybody could have made a mistake. However, as the shots at Trump continue...evidence for the defense of him grows stronger by the hour.
And it will leave a mark on the last gasp media and their Rino Alliance.
