Hillary Clinton visits Colorado, but dodges the state’s big issues (her Churchillian moment)

EXCERPT FROM THE ARTICLE:

She also outlined her plans to take on Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State. "We need to fight them in the air, on the ground and online," and the United States can do that by drawing together a coalition of countries and working with Muslim communities, she said. ---end excerpt---

DFU COMMENTARY: Those are inspiring words. We have heard similar before -- "We shall go on to the end, we shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender..."

Now I feel better about Hillary and that call that will come in at 3AM. She will answer it with great resolve, unless she is "entertaining" a young woman.

Hillary as Churchill? Those wacky leftists sure have a wild sense of humor.

Churchill: Actually came under enemy fire (during the Boer War).
Hillary: Lied about coming under enemy fire.

Churchill: Was a good leader, even when a bit drunk.
Hillary: Never was a good leader, and is mean when drunk.

The list can go on and on...

Winston Churchill, to the House of Commons, June 4, 1940...

“We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender, and if, which I do not for a moment believe, this island or a large part of it were subjugated and starving, then our Empire beyond the seas, armed and guarded by the British Fleet, would carry on the struggle, until, in God’s good time, the New World, with all its power and might, steps forth to the rescue and the liberation of the old.”

Hillary...

“We will fight them on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and SnapChat.”

It wasn’t the leftists. I was making the comparison as a parody to mock her, thus the parenthesis is the headline.

Churchill: Was a good leader, even when a bit drunk.

Hillary: Never was a good leader, and is mean when drunk.

Churchill: Enjoyed a good cigar.

Hillary: Preferred a carpet or ME rug........

On the night before addressing the US Congress, Winston Churchill was taking a bath while going over the speech with his personal secretary.

Just as he rose to dry himself President Roosevelt and another man entered the room.
Standing stark naked Churchill quipped “see Mr President, I have nothing to hide from you.”

Try to imagine Hillary! In the same situation.
