It won’t be long before the Blue Helmets show up to protect ISIS and the convoy of Muslim invaders into Europe.

The Turkish “Safe Zone” prevented the Kurds from cutting off ISIS from their supplies and sales in Turkey, and stopped their advances. Remember Kobani? Happened a couple of months ago, when the Turks began bombing the Kurds inside Syria.

Sounds like it would be a good move for the Russians to help the Kurds secure the whole strip of northern Syria along the Turkish border, all the way to the sea. Declare it Kurdistan. I think Assad would go along with it, if it meant cutting off ISIS from Turkey.

I can’t say it any better than the movie line that’s been floating around for the last few days...and in Comment #21 below...

This whole ME situation will likely get out of control, and we will be very lucky to live through it.

Gog and Magog anyone?

I see a lot of Trump in Putin, which isn’t bad. They’re both real keen on protecting their countries interests.

I could see the two getting along quite well.

The Turkish military has the largest Army in NATO, and with mostly US equipment, is a force to be reckoned with. Their excursions south of their border and knowledge of that territory make them have the upper hand. I doubt if Russia will do much against them since Russia isn’t in the position with current oil prices to get involved with anything protracted at this time. They may position a ship off the coast and bluster a lot, but with Turkey’s German built submarines they won’t want to get too cocky.

As this get more and more out of hand look for prices to skyrocket. Perhaps that's what Putin wants.

Glad to see that someone here is actually using critical thinking. BTW, Azaz is a historically significant town, but recently it has been at least partly controlled by AlNusra front, (sp) which is essentially a AQ affiliate. So it's a legit target, but has, as I said, history that goes back to the Byzantines'.

A safe zone is where snowflakes on a college campus can go where no one is supposed to offend them.

Being from the Bakken state, and owning mineral rights on 356 acres, I’m all for it.
