Two-thirds of homeless are addict/alcoholics and/or mentally ill.

IOW many of them belong in mental institutions, veteran or not, at least for awhile.

I state that as a veteran, with nearly 22 years of sobriety.

Or thrown into mental institutions.”...When did they bring those back? I worked 22 years in the ones which were shut down, one after another. Retired in 2010. Never saw one start up except jails and prisons.

For those of us that did some counter protesting after 9/11 and during the start of the Gulf War one of the problems we encountered was separating the wannabes and the real thing.

I went to DC for the Freeps, 15 or so, and helped organize about 50 or so in Boston, small but fun. The number of REAL homeless vets was small the number of fakes was large.

Excuse my cynicism but I have seen to many frauds to believe the gov.
