I believe that Russia and Turkey will work things out. The Russians want to move ships from the Black Sea to the Aegean/Mediterranean. Much of the history of the relationship between Turkey and Russia revolves around Russia’s need/desire to use the Turkish Straits.
Please remember that every Russian Tsar since Peter the Great has dreamt of controlling Constantinople,the Bosphorus and the Dardenells. Erdogan is playing with fire.
