This is an old tactic going back to the Bernie Goetz days. BTW in that case, that particular thug he shot caused a delay in Goetz' trial because just before he was to testify for the prosecution he got arrested for brutally raping one of his neighbors who was 7 months pregnant at the time. He did 25 yrs and in 2011 was found face down assuming room temperature in a "no-tel" motel in the Bronx.

Yep. Yet if he had stabbed somebody with the knife, they wouldn’t have shown his face at all.
Not saying I agree with the whole takedown, but he had to be stopped.
