A retired truck driver flying through Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) is warning American flyers their experience may not be secure, after he was able to pass a loaded handgun through a Transportation Security Administration checkpoint. Speaking to Britain’s Daily Mail, the flyer says while packing his gun was purely accidental, he feels the TSA should have caught it prior to departure.

The incident happened on November 5, as 67-year-old Blake Alford was preparing to fly from ATL to Chicago Midway Airport (MDW). In his bag was a Ruger .38 pistol, loaded with a full magazine of seven hollow-point bullets. The weapon was in Alford’s carry-on luggage by mistake. However, when it went through the TSA checkpoint, Alford says it was undetected.

Alford only discovered the gun after arriving in Chicago, after unpacking.

In the meantime, TSA is in their Kabuki Theater-mode.

A few months ago, I was going through the TSA pre-check line at that airport, and some TSA employee dressed like a South American Major was walking up and down the waiting line, asking people to confess that they were carrying.

"You can go to jail and lose your pre-check privileges for a year, people. Admit it now."

Yeah, it’s probabbly a .380 if it has a magazine, .38 would likely be a revolver

I bought a new bottle of shampoo on a trip recently and tossed it into my carry-on rather than put in our checked bag. Then I tossed my computer charger on top of the shampoo bottle.

TSA saw the wires and block of opaque shampoo in the carry-on and pulled it for a hand inspection. I saw the image on the monitor and it did look fishy.

The TSA guy was real nice and apologetic for having to take the shampoo — he offered to let me go back to the counter and put it into the checked bag, but that would have been a major hassle for $5, so I let him toss it in the trash.

Moral: They’ll get your >4 ounce shampoo every time.

Years ago I got caught for some kind of liquid, I don’t remember now what it was. The TSA guy put it in a baggie and let it go through. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing ... as if the baggie “deactivated” my liquid from being dangerous.

Ruger makes a 7 shot revolver, but it’s a .327 magnum.
Mebbe a confused gerbalist in gun world.

Really - he can expect the TSA and FBI to now put him through the ringer, if for nothing else than making them look bad and talking about it. If its an honest mistake, then just shut up about it.

Probably a Ruger .380 LCP.

Numbers confuse liberals.
