A homeless veteran has died months after a brutal attack outside a Philadelphia gas station that left him in a coma.
Robert Barnes, 51, died Wednesday.
Barnes was attacked by a group of six people on April 7 outside the Sunoco gas station at 5th Street and Somerville Avenue in the cityâs Olney section.
The attack involved a hammer, a piece of wood and mace. The entire attack was caught on surveillance camera.
The video shows a group jump from a minivan and rush towards Barnes as he stood outside the gas station. They then punch him, stomp on him and strike him with a hammer.
After attacking Barnes, the group jumped back into the minivan and sped off.
Three adults -- Aleathea Gillard, 34, Shareena Joachim, 23, and Kaisha Duggins, 24 â are charged in the case. Gillard, Joachim and Duggins all rejected plea deals and will stand trial in January. The charges are expected to be upgraded following Barnes' death.
Police say one of Gillardâs children falsely accused Barnes, a homeless veteran, of hitting him, which prompted the attack.
Three teens, a 14-year-old boy, 12-year-old girl and a 13-year-old boy, all pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and conspiracy and were remanded to juvenile detention centers.
Teens and their wacky hijinks
Local news only. In other words, white dude victim.
White Homeless veteran gets murdered by three black scum bags, won’t be hearing this in the media..won’t be any marches in his honor
The peoplewhoannoyyou keyword is entirely appropriate.
The media is too busy showing us the Democratic Party sponsored Black Lives Matter protest on Chicago’s Magnificent Mile today to honor St. Laquan McDonald.
Names sound white.
Yet another example of black on white crime.
The murderers rejected plea deals? They must know they’re getting an all black jury!
EVERY frigging day these “people” cover the daily news stories.
So sick of them....
How about a murderers group fry - Aleathea, Shareenah, and Kaisah? Charge them with first degree murder and seek the death penalty, not time served.
Then change their stupid names to Pork Chop, Grits and Cornbread before they get croaked.
But then again, this is Philadelphia where murder is an everyday affair and if it’s black on white, it’s treated as a “BlackLivesMatter” protest only.
I’m tired of feral animals (of any race, background, etc). who go around attacking people (i.e. knockout game, wildings, flash mobs) and getting away with it, or only getting a slap on the wrist.
My slap on the wrist would start with a baseball bat to the wrist and work my way up to the head, down to the feet, and every part in between.
If you can’t execute these animals, at least you can incapacitate them so that they never attack again.
My kids “carry” and woe to any punk who starts trouble. It will be the last thing they ever do. PS: Son has combat kills as a sharpshooter and good arrests as a police officer.
Where was Obama’s “reformed” VA when this veteran needed help?
I’m sure Obama is going to call any of his family and express his sorrow over the man’s murder.
Oops. Sorry, he’s going to call the Chicago BLM mobs and congratulate them on harming the working class there with their blockades of stores on this very important shopping day.
Jesse “Action” Jackson is back in action again. HE should be sued by the store owners for preventing their customers from entering their stores.
Wouldn’t that be a hoot? Yep, Jesse sure do luv them “working class folk” who are significantly black and decent people.
Someone sue this SOB, now!
It sounds like the BLM terrorists are sending their “children” out to murder whitey. That way, because of whitey’s white guilt, they can get away with murdering people and get off with a couple months of laughable “probation” at the most.
I watched the video at the link. Just horrific. May he Rest in Peace. Poor man.
ahhhh, I was wondering if the perps were black considering the story never mentioned their race. Typical media omission conveniently as it doesn’t fit their narrative.
My thought exactly!
