...the challenge for Hillary Clinton is likely to be much different. Rather than worrying about whether she can hold the lead and run out the clock, the question will become whether or not she can pull off a come-from-behind victory.
In all likelihood, the Republican nominee will start off the general election season as the favorite.
That perspective may sound crazy to Clinton supporters and many in the D.C. media club. They see the Democratic front-runner as obviously experienced and qualified in contrast to the leading GOP candidates.
But fundamentals drive elections more than candidates do. The most important measure of the political climate is the president's job approval rating. At the moment, President Obama's ratings are in the low-to-mid 40s. That's a danger ground, suggesting that he will be a drag on his party's nominee.

Even Dems are starting to realize that the country could die with another socialist/liberal in the White House.
Yes. While Obama’s favorability is in the 40’s, unfortunately Bill’s is in the 60’s.
A lot of Hillary votes will be votes for Bill.
Her next stroke will probably finish her.Her pattern of strokes is following her father’s.She may not even be alive this time next year.
Does she even do public appearances anymore? I can't remember the last time she gave a public speech or took questions from reporters.
Such a weak candidate and not too different from eight years ago when a community organizer out of Chicago came out of nowhere to clean her clock.
Could it be her health is worse than anyone thinks!
If Hillary is as ill as Trump seems to think she is, he will sit on any info he might have until the general election.
I will be interesting what her choice will be for VP, if she makes it that far.
Too bad that won't all fit in a tag line.
I am thinking same. I have noticed how he has mentioned it in the last few speeches.
I just read that in our history, no candidates have passed during the election process.
I guess if she goes the dems will be feeling the bern.
The rest of us will have a real sense of relief.
Yes it will.
Hillary is a shoe-in America’s backside.
. . . and a lot of that money came from foreign governments while she was a senator or the Secretary of State. Notwithstanding that
- Article 1 Section 9:
- No title of nobility shall be granted by the United States: and no person holding any office of profit or trust under them, shall, without the consent of the Congress, accept of any present, emolument, office, or title, of any kind whatever, from any king, prince, or foreign state
“Of any kind whatsoever” covers the waterfront, and does not admit of pettifoggery. Money paid to Bill for a speech counts. And money donated to a charity named after and controlled by the Clintons also counts, whether or not it was donated - and even used - for charitable purposes. For, does not Hillary Clinton benefit reputationally if the “Clinton Foundation” does good deeds? No showing of a “quid pro quo” is necessary to make the money illegitimate. The Republican Party, and all of the candidates for the Republican nomination, should be pressing the legislatures of the states to pass laws exerting their plenary authority over the selection of Electors to keep anyone personally aggrandized by acceptance of foreign government money from any, never mind a privileged Row A or Row B, position on their states’ ballots. If a legislature feels it is necessary to place a corrupt Democrat on the ballot just because she is a Democrat, at least let that ballot access be on Row E among the fringe candidates. Believe me, that would get the attention of the Democrat pols!!
She needs Bubba if she wants crowds....and he looks like sh**.
I am convinced that the elections are rigged in many states, so the Dems will win no matter what.
When this grifter was caught red handed swiping furniture and trimmings from the White House she should have imprisoned back then. I have had a hard time forgiving her even though I know I should.
Hillary for Prison 2016
Yeb! for the next plane to Mexico
How about we elect someone who likes Americans?
I have a favorite saying.
Just because I forgive you does not mean it is business as usual.
That is how to deal with Hillary.
