What Ted wants and what he will be able to deliver are very different things. Whatever we think of propriety and proper Constitutional conduct we are electing a Dictator next November. Congres has turned over virtually all power to the President and the Court has concurred. The President cannot give back that power to Congress except to confer on the Democrats in Congress- however large or small the Republican presence- and ultimately to the Bureaucracy that total power. The President has to do and be able to do some Fiat things. He has to abolish the Agencies. He has to abolish Civil Service. Without the second he is left with no agencies and a million unemployed bureaucrats that have to be paid and pensioned. He has to terminate most if not all government money to the States and local jurisdictions that is not Rent for for military facilities or the like. Then he has to induce the States to call the Article 5 Convention. The President cannot give the States back their rightful power. The States must be induced to take it back. Cruz is too Constitutionally principled to operate in that milieu. He may win the election and lose the Republic. Cruz is too Constitutionally principled to do that. That said. I don’t actually like Trump, but, again, he is the only one who Can and Might do what is necessary. I will bet on a maybe win as against a principled loser and I don’t mean an election loser, I mean someone who can’t get the job done. A Trump/Cruz ticket in that order is the only combination I can see that could get the job done and come back to the roots.
He has a good head on his shoulders and he is whippin it up better than Trump
Sigh there is much to answer here.
