Yeah, and that's all he's doing, is talking. My point of view remains that anybody who thinks a big wall and mass deportations is are going to bring anything but more force of government, bad response to any problem, has a problem with reality. There are other, better ways to dry up the illegal immigration problem.

Cruz is spot-on with regard to the concept of limited government Christian conservatism. His political compass is steady.

Trump's political compass is as mercurial as the markets.

I don’t disagree about Cruz bona fides, with some exceptions, but we wouldn’t even be having this discussion, and Cruz would be a mere afterthought in the race with all GOPe candidates leading and the ones that have dropped still in crowding the field if not for Trump. Yes, there are other ways to help with stopping the invasion (stop the benefits, for one), but it’s got to start with a wall, enforcement of existing laws, deportations and I bet it doesnt take a few deportations before the exodus begins. All it takes is someone to mean what they say and do it. Trump beings that to the table without being interfered with by “paybacks” to the donor class, as Cruz would have to deal with.
