Not really. "Change" is long-time commie lingo for a transformation to Socialism/Marxism. Did you catch how Communist Party USA repeatedly used the word? "Transformation" (as in 'fundamental transformation of America') is similar, as is the word "Forward".

No I didn’t stop too soon. Let NO man deceive you. These verses are very explicit and very clear. There is no possible way to misunderstand unless you just want to hang on to your doctrine vs what is plainly here in Scripture.
I’m going with not being deceived. At least with this. I get deceived enough. No hard feelings my FRiend. I want us all to end up in the same place, Heaven. One thing I’ve learned in the last few years, especially the last year, we need to be ready for our time could be now.
My FReind, you took me up on a relatively minor point about when scripture says this Wicked world ruler will appear. Now you’re answering with an issue about needing to be ready at any time for Jesus appearance. So it seems you’re confusing the subject of our discussion.
The first point, the subject of the discussion about this coming world ruler, is we’re never told to look for him. Rather scripture constantly tells us to look to Jesus and wait patiently for his appearing.
The second thing that you now bring up is, yes, Jesus can come at any time. But if you read 1 & 2 Thessalonians carefully, you’ll see the constant theme of COMFORT regarding Jesus coming and the end times. God does NOT want you to be afraid. If you’re a believer you have nothing to fear - you ARE ready because God has made you the righteousness of God in Christ through Jesus’ death for you on the cross (2 Cor 5:21) and your sins, past, present, and future will never be counted against you (Rom 4:7-8; Heb 8:12, 10:17).

I’m not afraid, I didn’t intend to insinuate that. I was just diagnosed with a potentially deadly disease in Sept., one that doesn’t give you much if any warning, so my view point is just in a different place.
However, that still doesn’t change the fact that that Scripture is very clear, Jesus does not return until the son of perdition is revealed. It is also clear when it says let no man fool you. Twisting Scripture too fit a doctrine of man is just that, twisting Scripture. I don’t know how you can twist something so obvious, but it’s very plain to me.
This is not that important a subject except for maybe realizing scripture NEVER exhorts you to look for this son of perdition but REPEATEDLY tells you to look to Jesus. I’m not sure why you want to make such a big deal about it, but you seem only willing to cite 2 Thess 1-4. When I cite the rest of that portion of scripture, v. 5-8, putting all of 2 Thess 1-8 in context, you call it “twisting scripture” and “doctrine of man”. Curious.
Anyway I’m sorry to hear of your condition. If you believe Jesus is still in the business of healing (he is: he’s the same yesterday, today, and forever) then I pray for you to be healed.
