Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the sidelines of the Paris climate summit on Monday.
The two leaders, who last met in Moscow in September have reportedly agreed to deepen military coordination in order to avoid unwanted clashes in Syria, an Israeli official told i24news diplomatic correspondent Tal Shalev.
During the meeting, Netanyahu told Putin that the "events of recent days prove the importance of our coordination, our de-confliction mechanisms, our attempts to cooperate with each other to prevent unnecessary accidents and tragedies, and I believe that we’ve been successful. It’s important.
“Secondly, I think we are engaged in a big battle against militant Islam, the terrorism it spews forward, the savagery, the barbarism. And this is another point of contact in addition to many others that we’re engaged in. I hope that Israel and Russia can see eye to eye on all the strategic matters, but I want to assure you that we believe that it’s within our powers to have very good coordination on the ground and in the air so that we do not create the kind of problems that we’ve been experiencing.

Everyone wants aboard the Russian train.
This is what Obama has wrought.
The entire world appreciates a leader who is perceived as willing to back up his words.
Even an amoral thug like Putin commands respect if he’s willing to deliver his part of a deal.
A sensitive progressive like Obama who craps on his own countrymen while abroad garners only contempt. Its a lesson most boys learned before they left grade school.
Of sourse, he always demands Russian interests are protected before he makes an offer.
In this case, there appears to be no conflict with Russian and Israeli interests.
And it's nice to see the two most respected leaders in America getting along lol
Maybe in 2017 Trump can join them.

Who knows, maybe this is what Obama was whispering about to Putin when he said after the election he would have more “flexibility.”
Sometimes it appears Obama and Putin are at odds, but I just can’t get Obama’s comment out of my mind. He was promising Putin something (?) would get done.
On the other hand, I’m glad at least one leader, Putin, is trying to stop ISIS.
He could have been careless to say it so easy to catch it to be double secret Muslim medium later.

Good point. However, it is difficult to criticize Bibi for reaching out given the treatment he has received from our administration the last few years. Israel has to feel isolated given the situation with their neighbors and the crap on the border. To make matters worse they can never expect any relief from the UN so if I am Bibi this is smart politics.
Again, as I and others have said, at some point with radical Islam the enemy of my enemy is my friend. Bibi needs all the friends he can get because their biggest friend has stabbed them in the back more times than I can count.
