(CNSNews.com) - Speaking today at the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, President Barack Obama predicted that, unless the nations of the world acted now to combat climate change, countries would be submerged, cities would be abandoned, fields would no longer grown, and there would be new conflicts and floods of refugees.
Here is a key excerpt from the president's speech, which is available in full at the White House website :
This summer, I saw the effects of climate change firsthand in our northernmost state, Alaska, where the sea is already swallowing villages and eroding shorelines; where permafrost thaws and the tundra burns; where glaciers are melting at a pace unprecedented in modern times. And it was a preview of one possible future -- a glimpse of our children's fate if the climate keeps changing faster than our efforts to address it. Submerged countries. Abandoned cities. Fields that no longer grow. Political disruptions that trigger new conflict, and even more floods of desperate peoples seeking the sanctuary of nations not their own.

That future is not one of strong economies, nor is it one where fragile states can find their footing. That future is one that we have the power to change. Right here. Right now. But only if we rise to this moment. As one of America's governors has said, "We are the first generation to feel the impact of climate change, and the last generation that can do something about it."
I've come here personally, as the leader of the world's largest economy and the second-largest emitter, to say that the United States of America not only recognizes our role in creating this problem, we embrace our responsibility to do something about it.
Job 38:10-11
â¦10 And I placed boundaries on it And set a bolt and doors,
11 And I said, ‘Thus far you shall come, but no farther; And here shall your proud waves stop ‘?
A collection of Losers!
Don’t forget the Medieval warm period. The warmer climate allowed crops in Europe to thrive and the population to grow exponentially.
Yeah, mankind might just now be entering the Iron Age after the Millennium of Recovery.
True, but there was also that pesky YEAR WITHOUT A SUMMER, when all of the crops failed, back then too; which the *cough* “scientists” ( LIARS ) left out of the graph and info.
“These are all consequences of the growth of Islam, not Global Warming.”
You’re right on in my view!
Doesn’t he have those three things in the wrong order?
Mostly improved seed actually
He and Prince Charles are in agreement.
My God is he still talking?
I thought the seas stopped rising the minute he was elected. Wasn’t that part of his “We are the ones we were waiting for” schtick? “This was the moment the seas stopped rising...?
I love the fact that the leader of the big protest the other day was Bill Nye. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cornell. That makes him a super duper climatological expert DeLuxe...not.
Yep, I’d say exactly backwards.
Why do I start laughing every time I hear the words “climate change?” I find their paranoia about something they have no control over to be not humorous, but ridiculously funny. Where are the cameras? This has to be a candid camera prank. lol Climate change happens. . . that’s how all those finger lakes were carved a million or so years ago. They are so hung up on controlling that which is uncontrollable.
If it didn’t involve massive amounts of money...that is the only way I could believe in the slightest about human caused climate change. This is not out of the goodness of their hearts. It is out of massive $$$$$, while $$$$ are still the currency of choice.
My GOD in heaven he is so full of s**t.
Never mind that.
What's their null hypothesis? I mean, is it that Earth's climate is invariant without human activity?
