Because Trump is not a conservative! You can wish it all you want, but it will not change the fact that Trump is RINO as RINO can be. I’m at a loss as to how so many on Free Republic have come to support the guy. I will not cast a vote in the Presidential election if Trump is the nominee. I will cast my vote for the remainder of offices on the ballot, but I will leave the box for President blank.

Trump is, like it or not, an outstanding nationalist candidate - the opposite of Obama. He unapologetically loves this country, while Obama hates it (while pretending to care for it). Trump has many flaws, to be sure, but perhaps you should consider the wisdom of the 2 gentlemen below:

“The perfect is the enemy of the good.” General George S. Patton, Jr.

“In politics, if you get 70% of what you want, take it and run away.” Rough quote from Ronald Reagan.

The GOPe is generally composed of a bunch of self serving, self-interested liars who will say anything to obtain or keep a place at their feeding trough in Washington. I have little use for them. I’d rather face the other party, because at least you know where they stand, they won’t knife you in the back because you already know not to trust them. they are, again generally, no more interested in genuine conservatism then Harry Reid or Nancy Pelosi are interested in genuine liberalism. They are politicians, interested in power. PERIOD.

Name me a GOPe conservative. ALL of them are for sale.
YEB somehow got it in his head that since daddy and big brother were selected, he should be.
Any of the others, tell me their statements to intend to simply enforce immigration laws?

I'll wait. You wouldn't have to jail too many employers. It's not that hard. 20 years with no parole sounds about right. What is CNN or MSNBC going to say? They HATE Bosses. Suddenly the Guv is locking them up. Now, imagine 30,000,000 suddenly unemployed illegals exporting themselves.

Look what an honest DA is doing in Albany. Imagine him in Chicago, or as Attorney General! (The guy is a democrat, yet honest. We're talking Last Unicorn, here.) Trump is the only one who might, possibly, consider such a move, just to piss off the current dictatorship.
