Because he and the media cartel see an opportunity to enact strict gun controls. So they push for more mass shootings. They do it by publicising the heck out of existing ones.
It is a well known phenomena, known as the copycat effect.

One of these animals was an employee in the facility and had a security badge to swipe and get in. Imagine that he knew most of the employees were armed and trained to handle a terrorist attack... Would he have picked that place for his Isis statement?
