What we know:
- Subject attends office get-together and at some point leaves in an agitated state.
- Within 30 mins, masked gunmen enter gathering place and kill 14, wounding 17 others.
- Gunmen are in and out within minutes, departing in black SUV.
- Attack was swift and displayed some level of training and expertise, utilizing weapons and garb described as military-like.
- Within a few hours, LE officers found and pursued Subject and female driving SUV, subsequently killing them.
- Motive not known.
- Father of Subject stated Subject was devout Muslim and recently married to female who died with him in SUV.
- Subject was born in U.S., but had traveled to Saudi Arabia recently.
What we can surmise:
- Subject and spouse were radicalized and went out with a bang.
- Government will downplay terrorist aspect of event for fear of inflaming anti-Muslim sentiments here in the U.S.
- Government will push for immediate confiscation of all personally owned firearms to appease growing fear.
- Government actions will do nothing to make us more safe.
