Years ago in Minneapolis MN, all the black cops started finding anti-black letters in their departmental mailboxes. Big story all over the front page for weeks as the letters kept showing up almost on a daily basis. Finally, it was discovered that a black female police dispatcher was discovered to be the culprit, actually caught on video photocopying the letters, and sorting them out into the mailboxes. She was suspended for a period of time, but allowed to return to work, never charged with a crime.
Really! We’re having a former Bridgeport PD officer James Lancia on The Jesse Lee Peterson Show (jlptalk.com) tomorrow 2nd hour (7am PT / 10am ET) to talk about this story, as well as the story from 1983 in which BPD allegedly was discriminating against black officers. He says even that was a lie. Lancia wrote a book Downtown White Police—very interesting account and perspective on policing in America, the attack on cops, and the plan to militarize/federalize police.
