The hearing will take place just days after Secretary of Defense Ash Carter announced all military combat positions would be open to women...Carter was asked specifically at the announcement if all laws which applied to males regarding military service would also apply to females after this move, and he answered in the affirmative - sounds as though it's moving in the direction of selective service registration for the ladies in his mind anyway......

Every one of these military leaders needs to not only be fired, and their retirement pensions denied, but they need to go to prison for what they have done.

If they want full access to the military, this is the logical next step. I actually wish they would reinstate the draft for a minimum two year period of service. It may help to stablize the average 18 y/o who has only dealt with Mommy and Daddy, never an employer yet. I think it could happen with this administration. Obama delights in P’sing off his constituents.

Any changes in the law regarding military registration would have to be approved by Congress. As it's written now, the law specifically refers to "male persons" when discussing draft requirements.

The courts would simply invalidate the law, men would no longer have to register and if congress wanted a draft they would have to amend the law to include women.
