There are several now on the market which are reliable, semi-automatic, use magazines for reloading and are accurate out to 200 yards. The Ruger 1022 is popular, but the Marlin 795 is a superior shooter and there are 28 round mags for it as well as a pistol grip draganov stock. For the money, the Mossberg 702 Plinkster is a very good shooter but stick with the factory 10 round mags. GSG makes a nice replica of the HK weapons, and it has a 110 round drum mag which works just fine.

Since you ask about the .22lr tools, if you intend to 'work' after the WORL arrives, a sound suppressor would be a good thing to plan for. Threading a barrel is not really that difficult with tap and die, and there are adapters available to attach an oil filter yet get good visual using an optic on top of the housing. Get the adapters now, while still available. You don't need to do anything with them until the collapse arrives. After it arrives, you will not be able to acquire them.

"What make and model .22 rifle?"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
#1 best overall choice: Ruger 10/22, Bought mine in 1967, and, thousands of rounds later, head shot kills on squirrels -- in t-a-l-l trees -- are almost guaranteed.
And there are more aftermarket accessories/mods for the 10/22 than for 'most any other rifle.
or
Yep, those are all the same .22 rifle!
