Cruz didn’t take the bait. He simply stated that banning ALL Muslims wasn’t apart of his policy, and if you read the full quote, Cruz’s concern was on the concentration of stopping and defeating radical Islamic terrorism.
Trump’s quotes didn’t just address immigration they addressed ALL situations of ANY Muslim (returning US Citizen or Visitor, such as Dignataries). That part was where Trump (deliberately) went too far on purpose to bait those that would be “offended” by it because he knew how people would react.

Trumps proposal would never happen, they don’t even have enough votes for Rand Pauls bill, too many RINO’s. So in the end its Trump trying to get headlines without being grounded in reality, it doesn’t mean Cruz is weak on the issue..far from it. Funny too, if Cruz followed suit, he’d be called a copycat by the Trumpkins.

That ended any chance for my vote. In fact, Trump doesn’t take it far enough. I’m for ending ALL immigration. And ending all visas because too many are being rubber stamped, i.e. the wife. Ending it ALL until we get a handle on this.

The point missed by all is ISLAM is a THEOCRACY (Sharia Law).
They view their religion as a government as well. Most other religions do not proclaim to be both a government and a religion.
THEREFORE, true Muslims who come to live in the US are actually lying when they swear to abide by the U.S. Constitution because they DO NOT BELIEVE the Constitution is the supreme law of the land. They believe Sharia Law trumps the Constitution.
THEREFORE, Muslim immigrants to the US can’t be allowed to be US citizens if they can’t honestly swear to abide by the Constitution of the land and simultaneously reject unconstitutional Sharia Law, right?

Ted, you’re missing the bigger picture. We are at war and Donald knows it. This is not business as usual. Just as you reversed yourself on HIBs, TPA, TPP, you should reconsider reversing yourself on a Muslim ban and get yourself on a war footing because that is where we need to be.
