When you have the entire Secret Service to insure that your head remains attached to your shoulders, you can afford to feel that way. What about We the People?
That’s the point - these people live in a bubble. It’s not a Senate Christmas party that gets hit - it’s an “ordinary” person’s Christmas party that gets hit. Once we started giving these people 24 hour protections, limos, unlimited staff, we ensured our own destruction. As Sheila Jackson Lee says: “I’m the Queen.” And so she is.
