I think you're right, I think the odds are high that Trump will ride all of this to the nomination. I just hope that if he gains the nomination his style will carry across lines to independents and lunchpail Democrats. I know there are some polling data that suggests that he has appeal in these areas, especially to Reagan Democrats because of his anti-globalization stance. But why make the sale more difficult?
We may get a chance to see.

I think a large portion of his support may be from the Reagan Democrats. These people want jobs and they want to keep them. Most working people do not believe in importing cheap labor by the millions. And no one, other than the Obama and Hillary types, wants our country overrun by Muslims. Most Americans are not as stupid as the dhimmies and the open borders GOPers think.
