A short history of Obama administration accountability:
1. No one fired at ATF or the Justice Department over Fast and Furious gun walking scandal
2. No one fired at IRS, two employees temporarily demoted over targeting scandal
3. Only 6 managers at the VA fired or allowed to resign over falsifying wait time records
4. No HHS employee fired over Obamacare exchange fiasco
5. No senior officers have been demoted or removed from CENTCOM for "cooking the books" on ISIS intelligence
6.. No EPA employee disciplined for toxic spill at Colorado mine
As for that last scandal, Interior Secretary Sally Jewell told a Congressional committee she never even yelled at anyone at the EPA for allowing millions of gallons of orange waste to flow into the Animas River.
Washington Times:
Interior Secretary Sally Jewell said Wednesday she is unaware of anyone being fired, fined or even demoted for the Gold King Mine spill, prompting Republicans to accuse her of taking the EPA off the hook for the toxic blowout.
"So you're letting the EPA get off scot-free it sounds like. They are not being held accountable," said Rep. Doug Lamborn, Colorado Republican, at the House Natural Resources Committee hearing.

EPA just wants it to Go Away
So? Because no one is held accountable...so?
Accountability? With this administration that is a racist concept.
And the VA hasn’t punished anyone for the gross negligence that killed veterans, and the IRS hasn’t punished anyone for using tax records to target political opponents. Working for the government means never having to say that you are sorry. Its the reason that our goal should be to shut as much of it down as possible. Fire these people and make them get real jobs.
bttt
I think its Greta Van Sustern that says Washington is a city of no consequences.
There is no real accountability in government. Management failures are embarrassing so they are quickly swept under the rug and the culprits are either “reassigned” to some other place in the agency or they relocate themselves to another agency. In either case, their job security and promotion track is seldom effected.
...and that's if they were correct.
Which they aren't.
If it was a mine owner who caused that spill he would be hounded to bankruptcy and possibly jailed. If the political winds ever shift it would not be a waste of time to track down all these apparatchiks, break them financially, and jail them. They certainly deserve it.
All animals are equal.
But some are more equal than others.
The feeling is (semi-) mutual.
We just want the EPA to go away.
You’re expecting the EPA to punish themselves?
