Up until now, I had never considered going the third party route because I figured it would virtually guarantee victory to the Dems. But if the GOP tries pulling a fast one by using a bogus contested convention to crown an establishment-approved nominee who would only serve to perpetuate the Big Government Uniparty, then third party I will go!

I too had never considered going “Third Party”, because I actually don’t think the Country can survive Hillary, after enduring Hussein, but if the GOP-e tries to force THEIR BOY, whether Yeb or someone similar, down our throats, I doubt that their candidate will win anyway, so I’d go “Third Party”.

First of all, a contested convention can't be bogus. You either have the delegates or you don't. Most state laws require delegates to vote for the candidate that they are pledged to on the first ballot at the convention. If there is no majority, then it goes to the second round and most all delegates then are free agents voting for whom they please.

However, Iowa and NH will do their normal job and will winnow out most of the candidates. The odds of a brokered convention are exceedingly small. The party needs to prepare itself for all kinds of scenarios. That is the function of the party.
