That stood out to me too, I will remember to use it with some of my liberal Christian friends.
Appeasing evil is cowardice.
A lot of people consider the Gospel communicated in John 3:16, but how few recall the verses following 3:16, which describe why unbelievers are already condemned. To wit:
John 3:17-21
(17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
(18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
(19) And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
(20) For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
(21) But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.
Now apply this to those who oppose Christianity in politics, yet will condone every type of crazy evil, including transgender operations and teaching school children about homosexuality. They condone such things because they do not want their deeds to be manifest lest they be reproved and convicted of their evil deeds.
We don’t need to know what they all are, but we easily discern good from evil and their behavior as enemies of Christ manifests their evil hearts, even when their outward appearance is presented in a haughty fashion.

How liberalism has progressed in this country would make a liberal and Christian polar opposites. Today's liberalism has progressed to a statism or the worship of state or government. If they were truly Christian they would understand the 1st Commandment and no false gods before the one true God.
Today's statist liberalism treats government as if it is a god that they look to for their wants or needs or the wants and needs of others all the while stealing from their fellow citizens and/or helping to create this massive debt, in order to force this to happen through the power of their government. It has become just as fanatical as some of the radical religions out there for some of these liberals/leftists.
I would remind your "liberal" "Christian" friends, by the very 1st Commandment, they cannot serve 2 gods like what has progressed in this country with our government. If their government was such a good thing, the massive debt these so called liberals have put this country in, including doubling it under 0bama, it would not have the power to cripple or destroy this country. It's only a matter of time unless they, or really all of us, turn back to the one true God and get gov't power back to being limited like our how it is supposed to be under our Constitution.
Today's statist liberalism and Christianity is like water and oil, they do not mix.
