The meme of “Trump is a blowhard” who doesn’t know what he is saying when he says it is laughable. The “secret plan” to help Hillary win theory is also laughable. The name calling between Trump supporters & Cruz supporters is sad & not helpful for anyone save those who’d prefer the GOPe candidate of the day.
Neither Cruz or Trump is perfect. Let’s stop expecting them to be so. Together they would be a powerhouse come the general election & 12-16 years of their leadership MIGHT pull our beloved nation from the brink of destruction. Trump/Cruz 2016!!!
They will - they won't look honestly at my words or his. They will impugn my motives, say that I am carrying out the direct orders of this or that rich Cruz guy, or call me establishment hack. I've been very complimentary and very critical of Trump...both. But for the knee jerkers? I have nothing but contempt for them frankly.
BTW, PM sent about your March 2011 piece.
Fine, you can “fondly remember him at the Convention” but my point wasn’t that Trump deserves the nomination for what he has done, just the thanks from Rep/Conservatives everywhere.
I like Trump or Cruz myself but I will vote for whomever is the nominee.
Could be...I guess we should all be ready for the popcorn....
My only goal in this whole mess is to see Jeb Bush and the dynasty of the RINO past be utterly repudiated in complete finality. Squash it deader than a stink bug.
If Trump doesn’t win this, all this is for nothing.
The rules will be reset within days to where they were.
Cruz and Carson will be ground into tiny bits so small they it will be as though they never were born,
Then the real punishments will be rolled out, and when it’s over no one will ever again be allowed even the slightest opportunity to challenge the Elites.
This is it, win or die.
The Donald must be running out of material and is just trying out his new schtick. Its all just performance art and shouldn’t be taken as anything other than convenient rhetoric.
Trump is a populist. There are no core, defining principles you can count on, other than TRUMP will be for TRUMP.
As usual Donald Trump is talking through his hat, it reveals that he is a layman who does not have foggiest notion about how the court works and it raises serious questions about what kind of judges and Justices he would appoint if given the chance.
just trump being trump I suppose
With Friday's declaration he would sign an executive order mandating the death penalty for cop killers, he also showed he has no real idea how government works.
If we think Trump is lurching left now, our heads would spin if he became the nominee. He is revealing who he really is.
Until recently I wasn’t aware Trump once said we should extend the Civil Rights Act to gays because it’s “fair.” That’s just one more reason in a long list for me to pass on supporting this guy.
It’s 2008 all over again. When Obama said to Joe the plumber, “We need to spread the wealth around”, it was an “A-HA” moment. We knew without a doubt he was a socialist. Yet so many refused to listen.
Trump keeps giving us one “A-HA” moment after another; each one reveals his core liberalism. We need to pay attention before we make a very serious mistake.
“If that wasn’t enough, on Sunday he said Cruz is a “little bit of a maniac” with the implication being that Cruz’ refusal to play nice with Sen. Harry Reid and Sen. Mitch McConnell in the Senate was the result of a Cruz character flaw”
This author is putting words out that Trump didn’t say. And his implication is dead wrong.
Trump branded Cruz with not being able to accomplish anything in his Senate career because he doesn’t know how to make people see his way. Like Reagan did, like Trump does.
No, but I am curious.
As a writer, why do you use the “oh, wait” cliche? This trite expression can be found a dozen times a day on the internet, each time just as trite and lazy as the other times.
It was not clever even when it was first getting started (how long ago?), but by now through almost robotic use it sends a different message about the writer from the one intended.
Not a big point at all. Maybe I am missing something. I would be interested in the thinking of a published author.
A wall would be great.
Cruz was calling for one in 2011. Not sure what Trump was doing then...reality show, maybe?
I submit it's already happened - to a great degree anyway. We made inroads in 2010 - then Newt made some inroads in 2012 - then we made more in 2014, and in the after math of 2014, the estabs were really exposed more than ever for the corrupt cronies they are....setting the stage for dominance by all of the non establishment candidates over all the establishment candidates.
Cruz started it by attacking behind Carson and Trump’s back. Very manly.
And probably still funneling cash to the Clintons.....supporting universal care.....raving about his pro partial birth abort sister judge.....obsessing over OPEC....etc.
you don’t know anything....he answered questions from supporters. They all do this .Grow up.
Show me where Cruz wants a wall. He wants increased security and fencing; all of which can be undone politically. A wall is forever and is apolitical
