Don't.

Talk to the Nation of Islam. Their kind sold the Africans into slavery. To other mooslimes and to Europeons who spoke SPANISH!

As for reparations...the debt of slavery was paid in full in the blood and the lead of thousands of white boys who wore blue uniforms. Their payment lies in graves across this nation.

Nobody in this country owes blacks anything except for some folks in the South and all they owe them is an apology.

so obviously amending the Constitution, passing civil rights laws and the welfare state is not enough.

As to apologies, where is the US apology for the millions of human chattel legally owned in America in 1863 that were essentially nationalized by the government, with no recompense to their owners?

Easy.

I had no slaves.

I have to say nothing.

I’m betting that we’re not going to get an apology from Baraq Obama on behalf of his muslim ancestors who put people under bondage and sold them as slaves.

The best apology for slavery is to stop treating blacks as “special”. This is Democrat demagoguery and pandering in the lowest possible way. Their slogan might as well be “Keep the boys on the plantation or they might stop being victims.”

Screw this.

Are blacks going to apologize for being a general menace on society?

You will apologize over and over for crimes committed before your birth; and never be forgiven. Ever. The point is humiliation and shaming into subservience.

Since blacks owned slaves in every state that allowed it, I would like to see their ancestors cough up some reparations first.
Then we can talk.

Didn’t Know Blacks Owned Slaves in America? You Were Taught History…

If we gave them forty acres and a mule, they would have no idea what to do with them.

We should have given them each forty shares of GM when we had the chance.

Admittedly, I just skimmed this, but I don’t think this person mentioned any of the places, such as Haiti, where slavery continues as a practice.

No apologies are necessary. America paid the price for slavery in blood. 600,000 lives lost during the Civil War.

If anyone needs to apologize for slavery it is the state of Massachusetts. They cast the swing vote which made slaver legal at the founding of our nation. Now, they stand back and point fingers at the South.

If the US as a whole apologizes for slavery, will Blacks shut up about it?

Returning to their paradise would be cleaner.
Or perhaps pondering whether they would be here at all...

Why continue suffering in American the hell hole? ...

Wait...

An apology should be a conscientious ceremony of reconciliation and healing — and nothing more.

Nonsense. People that never owned slaves need not apologize at all.

If someone wants to become an abolitionist and fight slavery start by fighting human smuggling at our borders, or go to the Sudan where the Black African Muslims still practice slavery.

The apology for slavery and the payer of reparations should be the democrat party. It was their cause, their “peculiar institution”, as the party of slavery and the party that fought integration up through the 60s when they were able to get the GOP to provide support for the Civil Rights Act and welfare with the idea that it would make things right. From then on, the meme became racist GOP, democrat party helps blacks. Once they achieved buy-in from the descendants of their former slaves.

The democrat party owes any reparations these half-wit party of slavery collaborators want.

As for the rest of their demands — PISS OFF.

I don’t really care for this concept of people apologizing for things other people did hundreds of god da** years ago. How about Governor Markell apologizes for hiking taxes instead? That hurt the Black residents of his state, none of whom are slaves except to the democrat party.

Well, I think some of my ancestors might have make human sacrifices, and ripped the hearts out of a few Spaniards back in the 16th century. I am truly sorry.
Maybe ate some of them, too.

Probably didn't taste all that good.

"GIBS-ME-DAT" (n.) 1. Annuities, in the form of goods, services, or material, given predominately to blacks, in exchange for their tacit agreement to reciprocate by not burning down America's cities.

Example:

"Yo Trayvon, who you be votin' fo'?"
"I gots to go wif Obama, baby. The democrats be givin' out moe betta gibsmedat."

2. One who accepts or demands such annuities.

Synonymous with: tribute, baksheesh, Danegeld, reparations
