The thread was pulled when Carter got rid of the Shah of Iran. Was he a “dictator”? Depends on your definition. He hated the commies and his methods were mostly against the radical islamofacist. Same with the King of Lebanon. Saudi USED to help but that family is dead and they are a danger.
