No, I’ve always lived up in the Bay Area, but even we “northerners” knew about San Berdo as teenagers. We also used to go to the area to drag race back then, and I did have an uncle who lived in Pomona.
I seem to recall Pomona had a popular drag strip in the 1970’s and 1980’s. Am I remembering correctly?
