Trump is already smoking the South, needing no help from anyone.

Cruz is no help to TRUMP’s ticket and outside of the South will hurt it.

Sharing the ticket is not a consolation prize.

TRUMP will likely need someone with foreign policy chops, international relations, ideally with a nice touch of military associations.

If the ticket for some odd reason even needs a politician, I would hope for TRUMP-Sessions, the sage of the senate with no baggage and no grudges against him. Cruz will be an appointment. AG, maybe.

He DOES need a pol on the ticket - he can do what Perot did with Admiral Stockdale and hope to win. No need for a guy, however much a hero and however much gifted, who looks and talks like the proverbial deer in the headlights. No on-the-job-political training. That said, someone like Sessions would be very good.

As for Cruz as AG - that’d be great if he was the one picking all of the federal judge nominees (obviously subject to Trump’s approval); possibly an appointment to the USSC to replace a real leftie would be nice, too (with a later elevation to CJ if Roberts leaves (and he should be coaxed, his switch on Obamacare has cost this country hundreds of billions of dollars).
