Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson on Wednesday suggested his policies would torpedo his chances at two terms in the Oval Office.
"You know, if I'm successful in this endeavor to become president of the United States, it's very likely I would be a one-term president," he said, according to The Wall Street Journal.
"[It is] because there are some tough things we have to attack," Carson added. "We cannot continue down this path."
The retired neurosurgeon bemoaned the GOP base's impossibly high standards for its conservative credentials.
"Republicans have this mental disorder that says, âA person doesnât agree with me 100 percent, Iâm not with them, Iâm going to go and sit down,â " Carson said during a campaign stop in Las Vegas.
"You know, I believe that was a disease that was implanted by the Democrats," he quipped. "Thatâs what they want you to do. As long as you feel that way, theyâve got it in the bag."

Very unlikely Carson will be an any-term president. But he is still a very valuable addition to the debates, and will be to an incoming Republican administration.
And don’t forget the dough he collected is his to give to charities of his choice. Clue: He runs two charities.

Just showing he is not a lawyer.
Otherwise, he would have worded it: “Very likely I’d be a one-or-less term president”
If THEY can find a Sirhan Sirhan for Trump, and if Cruz crashes and burns, I can see Carson being nominated in Cleveland.
IOW, he’s a lame duck before the RNC.
‘Republicans have this mental disorder’
But is it pathological?
What with your wacky-ass 2nd Amendment views and your immigration silliness...and, well, you know, just in-general dumbassedness.
No, Ben, you will be a zero term president.
About to post something similar, darn!
Even likelier, zero terms.
I”m sure that’s a pharmaceutical for that.........
There’s. Bedtime.
So...if he experiences a presidency that lasts longer the four years, he needs to seek medical attention?
I was responding to Mr. Hernando’s comment that he had no energy to tie his shoes. I thought my reply was pretty simple.....
I swear I was standing next to him at the Trump rally on Wednesday. Little, greasy dark guy who was fidgety, kept moving from place to place, looking nervously around. I thought it was just my over-active imagination until an obvious SS guy came and stood right between us and I could see him eyeing him.
Eventually, someone came up and talked to the SS guy and right about then SS let out a loud cough. Which I interpreted as a possible "go" signal. I looked to my daughter and said, "That guy looks shifty". My daughter said, "I know, I have been thinking the same thing". I said, "Let's get outta here".
Obviously we are crazy and nothing happened.
Good grief.
LOLOL!
