Some nuts though want the power of the threat. See how they react and have an effect. It’s a crime to do the threat (federal crime).
It seems the more specific the more likely they are to cancel schools.
The problem is if they don’t there could be a massive civil lawsuit by the survivors of the 20 dead kids who say, “You got warned and did nothing?”
So we saw Los Angeles cancel school Friday. Now this. The media coverage means there are copycat a**holes that’ll do more.
It’s a tough call, but most err on the side of safety.
Our media is complicit in this. They have joined the government to instill fear in everything. In the DC area, for example, even the hint of a snow flake is enough to cause them to declare a national emergency. Be afraid, that is the motto of the media. Creates a nation of wimps afraid of their own shadows, dependent upon the government and media for direction.

A series of planned attacks in small towns across the nation on Christmas Eve, perhaps in church, would change things drastically. It would be extreemly easy for the jihadis to pull off and shut down the country. Under Obama, there prolly wouldn’t be any declaration of war, but rather a call for martial law.

The title is a little misleading. The schools in Nashua will be closed. And while the folks in Nashua think hey constitute all that is important in NH, it is not the entire state.

Should read, “All Public Schools in Nashua, New Hampshire”, and the “specific threat” is about two high schools (and only those two schools) in Nashua.
Every time some loser wants to get out of a test, he phones in a bomb threat and they close the schools (or evacuate them if during the day). I don’t know if this “event” is based on anything more substantial than that, but I doubt it.

New York public schools start there break on thursday. I remember when I was young having much mre.time at Chistmas and Easter. Now we have equality on breaks and they are not Christian exclusive.

Those two weeks, back when, gave my family time to plan a ski trip. Iron Mountain, in the UP, one time, and Winter Park, Colorado, another. I’ve had worse Christmases.
All it is going to take is one Breslan here and all the people on this thread talking about these school systems being gutless are going to be demanding why they had those kids in school when they knew of a threat.
