I’ve just never understood these threats. Seems to me if you were actually going thru with a “threat”, then you wouldn’t be issuing a “threat”, you’d want to keep it secret, right?
What am I missing?

Agree. ISIS would likely just show up and kill people.
Some nuts though want the power of the threat. See how they react and have an effect. It’s a crime to do the threat (federal crime).
It seems the more specific the more likely they are to cancel schools.
The problem is if they don’t there could be a massive civil lawsuit by the survivors of the 20 dead kids who say, “You got warned and did nothing?”
So we saw Los Angeles cancel school Friday. Now this. The media coverage means there are copycat a**holes that’ll do more.
It’s a tough call, but most err on the side of safety.
