Another year, another big loss of New Yorkers to other states.
During the 12 months ending last July 1, 153,921 more residents moved out of New York than moved into it from other states, according to the U.S. Census Bureauâs annual update of population estimates. The Census Bureau also slightly increased its estimate of New Yorkâs prior year (2013-14) outflow to other states, to a new total of 160,329.

I went to high school in Irvington (so “right across the bridge” is correct.)
Don't know about NH...
They’re all coming to North Carolina...
...and I wish they’d stay where they came from.
One nice thing about the cornfields of flyover country.
Folks from NT and CA would rather eat baling wire than move here.
NT???
where the hell is that?
My son and his family left-—and were glad to get out.
.
Tennessee has no tax on wage income.
BTW, I am patrilineally descended from a Huguenot who settled in Brooklyn in 1645, my patrilineal great-great grandfather was a police captain in Manhattan during the Civil War draft riots. My family and name go back a long way in New York, but I am not going back there.
First damned thing they do is tell everyone they’re doing everything wrong.
I have a really hard time understanding why people would voluntarily live in a State that has an income tax.
They are coming to NC and filling up our urban areas. We will will soon become a Soviet outpost.
This pace will lose them two Congressmen per census.
Trouble is that too many of these New Yawkers bring their loony politics, crazy voting and socialist/marxist ideologies with them so they can screw Florida up just like they did the place they fled.

Tennessee is FULL ! Move along.
Property taxes...aren't like FL. or TX. That I know.....
I dunno if that's a wash...or not.
I know I pay too much in taxes....
Be different...if I saw better roads, better infrastructure...but I don't.
What I see is...people getting "free" stuff...all around me.
Ditto. Still here, though, and holding down the fort for you :-) NY born, raised and a proud Conservative. The democrats may hold the large cities but we Conservatives surround them throughout the rest of the state. We elected George Pataki as governor. Overall, under the Pataki Administration, New York's credit rating was increased three times by Moody's Investors Service. He lowered taxes, generated new business and left behind a multi million dollar"rainy day" fund for his successor to be used if and when the economy tanked. His successor, Democrat Elliot (Client #9) Spitzer, burned through those monies in a matter of months.
I have often pondered leaving NYS but, like you, recognize that anywhere else would be out of town.
"No, you can't sue farmers for the dust from the fields and the smell from his hog farm "
I took that picture in a neighboring county
We are not all bad! I was born and raised in Queens, and although I live on Long Island now, one day I hope to make a total escape.
Trust me when I tell you...you would LOVE to have me as your neighbor. I have seen what liberal tendencies do, and I want no part of that world.
Merry Christmas!
