It’s interesting because while there are many things that have happened that can convince someone Scripturally that the end is near, like Israel becoming a nation, it’s the other developments that have me more convinced that it’s close.
Our world is primed for a lying deceiver and sin and immorality are running rampant in ways they never had before.
Technology has come to the place where it’s almost beyond our control, and it is making it more than possible for one powerful leader to take absolute control over even remote areas, in ways that were not possible a couple decades ago.
You might enjoy this video. It is certainly a different take than what has come out of guys like Hal Lindsey, but it does seem to follow scripture closely.
