A few months ago, I scraped my scalp on the bottom of our mailbox and I decided as a precaution to get a tetanus vaccination. The nurse said that the Tdap vaccine I received also protected against whooping cough, which was increasingly common in our area. She said she urges everyone who has not had the booster in 10 years to get it.
Why were you under the mailbox?
Well..that’s interesting...I had a tetanus shot for a nasty knifing I did of my hand about 9 years ago...do they tell you THAT automatically.
