If YOU don’t watch out for your own personal safety and well-being, who will?
It would seem that women can see a lot in themselves that is well worth defending. A good deal of personal grief can be avoided by taking a few preemptive steps.
Carrying personal armament is just simple prudence.
I’m sure this much sought after gun ownership thing will turn around today when the NBA starts running their everytown gun control ads during the games with super important and super intelligent b-ball “stars” expounding their viewpoints. Or not. Shut up and “shoot” some hoops.
Merry Christmas alloysteel.
Several years ago, my family member kept a pistol in her vehicle. The laws in that state changed, and that pistol was considered a concealed weapon under the new law. She then had to be licensed to keep that same pistol in her car’s glove box.
Rather than pay the penalty for a concealed weapon, until she could get licensed, she removed said pistol from her car. Shortly thereafter, she was car-jacked, kidnapped, and murdered...at gun point.
Indeed, and ESPECIALLY for women. Any father who does NOT teach his daughter to shoot, and buy her the carry weapon of her choice has done her a gross failure. If he can't teach her the necessary, see that she gets lessons from one who can.
What makes me angry is the image of the ‘helpless woman’ is actually quite new.
Several generations ago I had a great, great, great grandmother who was attacked and scalped by Indians. She was alone with the kids at the time. She managed to fight them off on her own. She lived, healed, and eventually had my great grandfather (who went on to marry an Indian... so no hard feelings). My great grandmother (the half Indian) was known as ‘The Terror of Chippewah County’ and she’d throw down with anyone. As the mother of seven sons - with a husband who was gone half the time for work - she had to be tough.
And she did it all in a skirt.
Women have *always* picked up arms when the men were gone. We will protect ourselves and our children to the best of our ability. We might not have won, but we’ve fought.
Feminists insult these great women and demean them as sheltered, stupid, helpless cowards, when the reality is that women have been brave forever.
Feminists are so freaking sexist.
And yes. I pack a gun and so does my daughter.
