A man in Massachusetts says someone has been stealing Donald Trump signs from his yard for months. He has finally caught the thief red-handed.
Joe Ricci says this was the final straw. Surveillance video captured what he says has been going on for months. Someone taking those big blue "Trump" signs right out of his yard. "He saw my truck wasn't in the driveway, so he grabs the sign and off he runs."
His camera is close enough and clear enough, he says, to identify the person in the video as his neighbor's teenaged son. We blurred his face because he's underage. Ricci called police, who came out for the second time in a week to take a report.
But look who else his cameras recorded later. Monday night, the suspect and his dad, coming back with one sign to apologize.
Ricci said, "The father actually had the nerve to ask me if I needed yard work done as retribution for this. I just laughed and told him to get off my property."

Or maybe it was the kids father that made the grammatical mistake?
I think the father put the kid up to it, and he was trying to prevent charges being pressed against the kid by offering restitution.
The Trumpeteers here seem to have zero tolerance for differing opinions.
Carl Rove, is that you?
Ricci should have built a fence...and gotten the teen’s dad to pay for it.
No troll... just the class of ‘98 again.
Most times, if there is a weird comment that seems out of place on this forum, it is from someone from ‘98. Don’t know why.
The freedom to be a jerk is as American as apple pie.
Sign stealing is a ‘Rat cottage industry in Mass. I can’t tell you how many times the signs of Teddy’s various opponents vanished in the days before elections. The effort should be counted as unions’ in-kind donations.
If you read the article or watch the video those are Ricci's words. The article quoted him just as he said it on the air.
Ding ding ding! We have a winner! IOW, completely agree!
The thief was not a six year old who swiped a candy bar. His name and the video of his theft should follow him the rest of his life as a Google search result.
I saw the interview on FOX25 Boston. IIRC, he said he was not going to press charges. I think the neighbors got what was coming to them.
I agree. My son was 7 years old and cut one of his friend’s hair. Took him to the house to apologize to her in front of the family. Never did it again.
Went to the girl’s HS grad party last year and the dad said they found out later that his daughter had been teasing my son. Told him to get the scissors and we’ll give her a trim!!!
Sounds like the dad was trying to do the same.
Earlier this year a couple of his buddy’s ruined a couple golf greens. Told my son if that had been him, we would cancel him going away from school and he’d be working for the golf course until it was paid off.
His buddy’s dads said it would cost each of them about $5k including lawyers.
Yes... and his face should be shown so that neighbors will know ; watch out for this kid, he likes to steal things.
I resemble that remark!
My guess is that he didn’t want the kid on his property. I can’t blame him for that.
I philosophically agree with you about behaving calmly in response to Liberal crime (theft is theft) and provocation, not stooping to their level, etc. That is how anyone who’s mature, and especially a Christian, should respond. But I can’t bring myself to condemn this guy over telling father and son to just get the Hell off his property. The Left is inciting a civil war and the time is coming to give them what they want, good and hard. They’re immune to persuasion and decency.
I respectfully disagree. Would Ricci be less of a jerk if he had Ted Cruz signs in his yard and wanted to protect them? Or is he only a jerk because he supports Trump?
Cruz is my first choice (Trump my second), but I will not denigrate Trump on this or any other forum. I think Sen. Cruz would be embarrassed by any mean-spirited, obnoxious supporters, wouldn’t you agree?
