I am pretty sure the law already reads that way in Georgia.

I remember years ago stopping for gas along I-75 in Georgia and the apparent station owner walked around with a pistol in a holster on his hip. It was an unusual sight but it didn't bother me and it didn't seem to bother anybody else either.
