Fireworks are banned here and all the surrounding areas. The city usually has a big display down by the port. At New Years you can actually see fireworks. I watch some off the deck.

Technically they’re banned here, too, but a blind eye is turned on New Years Eve. But we only get that one night. Shoot ‘em off before or after and the cops will nail ya.

The large cities have big fireworks and street parties but the small towns don’t. No way I’m driving all the way to Nashville for their big bash. So we’ll have our own little one here, as will a lot of others around the county. *rubbing hands in anticipation*
LOL!

Oooooooh, I intend to! Especially since it was unexpected. I just happened to notice a fireworks tent set up while I was in town and it turns out it’s the only one in the area.
So what looked to be a dull New Years Eve will be a little fun after all. :-)

Could the winds be part of the El Nino system that’s fooling with mother nature all over the place? :)

Keep out of the wind!...or keep rocks in your pockets! LOL!

A very pleasant good Wednesday morning to everyone at the Canteen and to all our military at home and abroad. Thanks for your service to our country.

((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, LUV W. Here is the result I got from this morning's quiz:>

You Should Stay Home for New Year's Eve
By the time New Year's Eve comes around, you are usually exhausted. You just need to rest.
That doesn't mean you won't celebrate, but you'll definitely be toasting the new year in your own low key way.

You'll reflect on the year that's passed and make plans for the year to come.
And when the clock turns over at midnight, you'll be cheering along with anyone else. You'll just be in your pj's!

How We Will Spend New Year’s Eve

Preventing our house from burning down by hosing down the roof and shrubbery to extinguish errant rockets and Roman candles fired off by drunk and/or thoughtless revelers.

This is no joke.
