She is considering a run for the U.S. Senate to succeed retiring Democrat Barbara Mikulski, saying it is important for Baltimore to have continued political strength. Rawlings-Blake has also been mentioned as a possible candidate for Maryland governor in 2018.

You may be correct, in Baltimore anything is possible if you are part of the Democrat machine.
