If someone posted that Hillary is a true Conservative would you expect anyone to object? Just because some politician claims to be of a certain philosophical persuasion doesn’t mean they are. Jesus said you should judge them by their fruits. Trump’s fruits are a mixed bag at best.
This is a Conservative forum. It’s purpose is to promote Conservative values and government. One of it’s most important functions is educating other Conservatives about the candidates true beliefs and positions. If a candidate can’t withstand the scrutiny he shouldn’t be running.

With Trump, whom I blew off when he announced last summer, I took the position of “trust but verify” when he started to take off last August. If he is saying what he believes, then ok. Every step of the way, he kept getting better, was pushing issues that never would have seen the light of day otherwise, was gaining lots of people that use to not care about politics, and was putting a backbone in people again to stand up against PC culture.

Yeah? And if Trump moves us back from the brink of national collapse with the platform he’s pushing (which is not a leftest one by any means), that has done far more to promote that. Frankly he’s been more conservative than a hell of a lot of ones that say that they are “true conservatives” every 5 minutes.
