How do you know Trump says what he believes. What if he says what you believe? Didn’t he admit in one of his ghost written books that complete honesty in making a “deal” wasn’t desirable?

Your last paragraph tells me you don’t care if Trump is Conservative or not. You agree with a few of his “current” positions and the rest aren’t that important.

“How do you know Trump says what he believes. “

How do I know Cruz is? How do I know you are? Their are no guarantees in life. You just have to go with your gut after the presentation.

“Didn’t he admit in one of his ghost written books...”

Ghost writers are used by lots of people. It does not mean that someone else wrote the book with no input from the author. His name is on the front of the book along with Trump’s.

“... that complete honesty in making a “deal” wasn’t desirable?”

Yeah? Because only a novice makes deals with all of his cards on the table. If you are trying to imply that 100% of the stuff he says on the stump are really just lies, then that is a tall order to claim and not be seen as just being obtuse. I can easily say if Cruz does not “restore the constitution” after 1-2 terms, was he lying when he says it today? An example of crappy dealmaking is when Cruz said he wont make Bill Clinton an issue in the election.

“Your last paragraph tells me you don’t care if Trump is Conservative or not.”

I care if he advocates my positions. Does it well, and does not back off when the leftist media attacks. Libertarian, right-leaning, populist, nationalists? All of those things make up the umbrella conservative movement. All of that I see with him, and most Americans fall into one of those. That’s why he is drawing so many people. I’m comfortable with where he is.
