No one has voted on TPP. Cruz is totally against TPP. What was your problem again?

I was totally all in for Cruz, but that TPA vote really had me reconsider. I cannot stand what the gop has become. We all know the game they play right? I’m going to support this bill, the one that lowers the votes needed to simple majority, and then when they don’t need my votes to get a simple majority, I can campaign on the fact that I never supported it. Now of course after helping write an op-ed supporting TPA, he changes his mind hours before the vote. He had an opportunity to change minds, and did nothing but support it. Supposedly he changed his mind because he heard backroom deals were being made. Sheesh!!! Like Trump says, we need smarter people making our deals for us.

TPA is the problem, just like the Corker bill is a problem. This is typical political slight of hand that allows the for-it-before-against-it goings on in DC. Once you allow something to the floor - or in this case giving Obama authority - everything else is moot.

Cruz voted to give Obama fast track authority (this is doubly shocking in itself). If he were really against the corporate giveaway he would have voted against TPA.

The question is why some of you are running cover on these issues when you know better. Does religiosity over shadow knifing Israel in the back (Corker bill) and selling the American worker down the drain (TPA)?

“No one has voted on TPP. Cruz is totally against TPP.”

I am sure he is; just as he voted for the Corker bill and is now against it. Cruz enabled TPA, which will enable TPP, which effectively will end our sovereignty. I’m sure Cruz will vote against TPP in a show to close the door but the horses left the barn with TPA.
