I understand completely why people in general support him. I personally agree with him on a number of issues. But he’s not a conservative. And he has important issues he is liberal as hell on.

But a conservative has an option far more in tune with the conservative philosophy. So if a person goes with Trump over that option, they have chosen moderation/to be a moderate.

Thats their choice. But it is not conservative by any historical definition and they do not get to rewrite the definition to make themselves feel better. We should all stop pretending and playing games with this. If you (people in general) are moderate, then embrace it and say so. If people would do that we could avoid a lot of fighting. But as Lincoln said, “How many legs does a dog have if you call a tail a leg? He has four because calling a tail a leg doesn’t make it one”.

You do not understand. Not at all. You just proved my point. There is not a single anti-Trump person in the world who can accurately articulate why conservatives support Trump. Not one.
